Happy National Day, Romania!

On the 1st of December 1918, Romania got back the last missing part, Transilvania, after World War I. This became our National Day after the falling of the communist regime in 1990.

This was Romania in 1918

And here are samples of our musical culture

Codex Caioni, Romanian Early Music (Western)

Peshrev by Dimitrie Cantemir, Romanian early music (Eastern, otoman)

Doina, Romanian traditional music (raga)

George Enescu's Romanian Poem, with the Royal Anthem at the end

Tiberiu Olah, symphonic suite for movie Mihai Viteazul. Mihai Viteazul (Mihai the Brave) was the first Romanian Prince who reunited the Romanian regions (ancient Dacia)
